Cotococha Amazon River Lodge - Tena

The charming bungalows at this lodge are beautifully designed with lots of wood and bamboo, giving off a true jungle vibe. You'll wake up to the peaceful sounds of singing birds and a rushing river. The property is spread out, with some hidden in greenery and others offering stunning views of Rio Napo. The pool and jacuzzi provide a relaxing retreat, and the library offers a beautiful view over the river. The welcoming staff is always ready to offer tips and answer any questions.

One downside is that there are no shops nearby to buy groceries, so you'll have to go to Tena if you need to do any shopping beforehand.

The staff here is really friendly, and there's nothing to complain about, definitely worth considering if you're visiting Cascada de Latas.

Location on the river, beautiful surroundings. Small property along a busy road, limited walking areas. Knowledgeable shaman, helpful and friendly staff. Tranquil cabins away from restaurant area, bird sounds, refreshing. Good and affordable food.

pool was dirty

We had one of the best stays ever! The hotel location is fantastic with a serene and super calm place, providing a true jungle experience. The cabins are spacious and perfectly decorated with wood and bamboo, immersed in lush vegetation. We loved the pool and hot tub. The staff were very cute and always ready to help with recommendations and answers to our questions. The bar/restaurant offers good quality food and a beautiful view.

The lodges in this Amazon Basin hideaway are a peaceful and tasteful place to stay. You're immersed in stunning gardens and exquisite surroundings, with a magnificent natural setting. the staff are extremely friendly and accommodating, ensuring you have everything you need to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable. the open-air dining area is a highlight, providing excellent meals and views of the beautiful surroundings.

While there are plenty of excursions and activities on offer, there's a lack of choice with everything being planned for you, which may not suit all travelers.

The lodge had beautiful grounds within a lush jungle. The cabin was incredibly spacious and well decorated. The main attraction was the gorgeous pool area that seemed like a resort. The staff overall were kind and helpful.

The restaurant was overpriced with a limited menu. Service at meals, even the included a la carte breakfast, was extremely slow and often wrong.

Despite a few hiccups, we had a great Christmas holiday at this jungle lodge. the view from our room was breathtaking, and we enjoyed waking up to the sounds of the rainforest. the staff was friendly and attentive, and the meals were satisfying. One of the best things about our stay was that we didn't have to travel far to feel like we were deep in the jungle. the location was perfect, and we felt secluded and surrounded by nature.

There were a few things that detracted from our experience. First, the lack of electricity in our room was a significant inconvenience.

our stay at selina in tena was absolutely amazing! the location was perfect, right by the river and surrounded by the rainforest. the cozy room with a balcony made us feel right at home. the staff, yudy and darwin, provided impeccable service. we couldn't have asked for a better experience!
